Appellate Court in Belgrade partly alters first instance judgment in Dragišić case

Pursuant to its decision Kž1 Po2 5/20 rendered upon the Appellate Chamber's session of 1 February 2021, the War Crimes Department - part of the Appellate Court in Belgrade altered the lower court's judgment in the case against Milan Dragišić, specifically in the part related to the criminal sanction imposed on the defendant for the criminal offence under article 142 (1) (war crime against civilian population) of the FRY Criminal Act. Pursuant to the Appellate Chamber's decision, defendant Dragišić was sentenced to five years in prison, whereas the rest of the lower court's judgment was confirmed.
