MEETING OF THE CHIEF PROSECUTORS OF THE PPOWC OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE SUPREME STATE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF MONTENEGRO HELD

On 6 December 2024, a meeting of delegations of the Public Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes of the Republic of Serbia and the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro was held in the premises of the PPOWC of the Republic of Serbia and the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro, in the presence of UNDP representative Ivan Jovanović, during which an Agreement on Understanding and Cooperation in the Field of Support for Witnesses, Injured Parties and Victims for Their Participation in Criminal Proceedings for War Crimes was signed.

The Agreement was signed by the Acting Chief PPOWC of the Republic of Serbia Dušan Knežević and the Supreme State Prosecutor of Montenegro Milorad Marković.

The signed agreement will enable faster and more efficient cooperation in war crimes cases, as well as organizing testimonies and participation in proceedings for witnesses, victims and injured parties in war crimes cases being processed in Serbia and Montenegro, and involving witnesses and injured parties residing in another country.
