PROSECUTION FILES AMENDED INDICTMENT FOR A 1993 WAR CRIME AGAINST 20 RAIL PASSENGERS IN ŠTRPCI

Pursuant to an order for additional investigation, issued by the War Crimes Department – part of the Higher Court in Belgrade, the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor has filed a new, amended indictment with that Court, against five former members of the Republic of Srpska’s Army, namely G. L., Lj. V., D. V., J. L. and D. Đ.   

 

The Prosecutor’s charges are based on a reasonable suspicion that the accused, acting as accomplices, committed criminal acts of war crime against civilian population in villages Štrpci, Prelovo and Mušići, BH on 27 February 1993.

 

Proceedings against ten other individuals charged with the same criminal offence are under way before the BH Court.

 

In a coordinated operation launched by the Serbian and BH judicial and police authorities, all of the 15 suspects were deprived of liberty on 5 December 2014.
