On 13 October 2021, the Office of the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor raised an indictment (ref. KTO-5/21) against Edin Vranj on suspicion of involvement in the criminal offence under article 144 (war crime against prisoners of war) of the FRY Criminal Act.

In line with the regulations governing regional cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Act on International Legal Assistance in Civil and Criminal Matters and Agreement on Legal Assistance in Civil and Criminal Matters between the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor is going to file a motion with the Higher Court in Belgrade – War Crimes Department requesting the referral of criminal prosecution in the particular case to the relevant authorities of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
