Today, a regional consultation meeting was held in Belgrade on enhancing regional cooperation in processing war crimes. This is the third meeting of prosecutors from the region organized this year within “Enhancing Regional Cooperation in Processing of War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons” regional project, implemented under the auspices of the UNDP. This project aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processing war crimes cases and enhancement of search of missing persons, through the enhancement of cooperation between the prosecutors’ offices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia. The participating Prosecutors in the meeting assessed the existing legal framework for regional cooperation and presented proposals for its improvement.
