Regional Prosecutors' Conference to be held in Belgrade later this months

A regional prosecutors' conference will be held in Belgrade from 20 to 23 May 2019. The conference will address cooperation, benchmarks and standards in the prosecution of war criminals. Emphasis will be placed on cooperation of regional prosecution services with the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT), on cooperation between regional prosecution services in the prosecution of war crimes and search for missing persons, as well as on investigations and criminal prosecutions against perpetrators of sexual violence in the context of armed conflicts, which has been recognised as international crime.

The conference will be attended by IRMCT Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz, BH Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić, Special Prosecutor of Montenegro Lidija Vukčević, Deputy Chief State Prosecutor of Croatia Jasmina Dolmagić, as well as Deputy Prosecutors of Croatian County and BH Cantonal Prosecution Services.

The Conference will be opened by Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Snežana Stanojković, Justice Minister Nela Kuburović and UK Ambassador to Serbia Denis Keefe.
