Belgrade Appellate Court confirms first instance judgment in Soldatović case

Pursuant to judgment K Po2 3/14, rendered by the War Crimes Department - part of the Higher Court in Belgrade on 08 December 2020, defendant Boško Soldatović was declared guilty of the criminal offence under article 142 (2) (war crime against civilian population) of the FRY Criminal Act and sentenced to 15 (fifteen) years in prison. 

Pursuant to its judgment Кž 1 Po2 1/21 of 11 June 2021, the Appellate Court in Belgrade rejected the appeals lodged by both the War Crimes Prosecutor and the defence counsel for defendant Soldatović, namely lawyer V.O. as unfounded, thereby confirming the aforementioned Higher Court's judgment in this case.
