Court passes first instance judgment for Brčko crimes

On 19 September 2019, the Higher Court in Belgrade - War Crimes Department passed its first instance judgment in the case addressing a series of crimes committed in the area of Brčko, BH throughout June 1992. Defendant AA was found guilty of the criminal offence under article 142 (1) (war crime against civilian population) of the FRY Criminal Act and sentenced to 8 years in prison.
