A working meeting of the Prosecutor for War Crimes of the Republic of Serbia Snežana Stanojković and her deputies with the Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of B-H Milanko Kajganić and officials of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of B-H was held in the Prosecutor’s Office of B-H.
The main topics of the meeting were working on cases in which the two Prosecutor’s offices, in accordance with memoranda and protocols on cooperation, achieve joint cooperation and exchange of information in the criminal prosecution of war crimes cases.
The meeting discussed topics related to the joint cooperation of the Prosecutors’ offices in the fight against impunity for war crimes, as well as current cases in progress in which mutual assistance was requested in certain procedural actions.
Also, under discussion were the status and phases of criminal proceedings in cases that were transferred from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia for processing.
It was concluded at the meeting that prosecutorial cooperation must continue intensively in the future, with the coordination and participation of the Chief Prosecutor of the IRMCT, Serge Brammertz, as a joint effort in the fight against impunity for war crimes.
