On 19 September 2022, a meeting between the OWCP representatives and the Commission for Missing Persons of the Government of the Republic of Serbia was held in the OWCP premises.
One of the topics of the meeting was the further implementation of joint activities from the strategic documents implemented by both institutions: primarily those foreseen by the new National War Crimes Prosecution Strategy (2021-2026).
At the meeting, information and data were exchanged for the purposes of conducting criminal proceedings handled by the Office, and the need to amend the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded between the OWCP and the Commission for Missing Persons since it was concluded in 2018, was also discussed. In the meantime, new strategic documents have been adopted that require further steps in the implementation of new activities, with the main goal of improving cooperation in uncovering the fate of persons who are still listed as missing in connection with the armed conflicts fought on the territory of the former SFRY and AP K-M.
